St. Tammany Parish Public School System has twenty-nine schools that are operating a Title I Schoolwide Program. Title I provides supplemental funds to schools with a high percentage of children from low-income families to help them offer the best education for their students. In our district, this funding is used for a variety of purposes designed to support students’ academic achievement including hiring additional personnel to work with students, ensuring schools have updated technology needed to enhance student learning, and providing educators with professional development and instructional resources needed to improve teaching and learning.
